I love these walking boots ! straight out of the box I was impressed with the style and quality and as soon as I put them on I noticed how comftourble they are, they don't really require a break in period. a slight draw back to this is that they can be a bit slippy on smooth indoor flooring which I did not expect given how deep the tread is on the sole. the sizing does run just a little bit large however I have wide feet so the slightly too big sizing works great for me as it fits by foot width better than the size down would have but if you don't have wide feet like I do I would recommend going half a size down from your usual size for a snug fit. Unfortunately I have already experienced some dampness seeping through onto my feet from heavy rainfall, nothing major, and my feel still stays much dryer than they would have in other shoes but I would have expected the waterproofing to be a little better seen as they are advertised as rain ready.
